Hi all! This won't be anything formal, just a place we can meet up to discuss stuff and try to stay sane.
:)
Hey all I will be posting all of my objectives and activities under my responsibilities so if you want to take a look just go to BlackQueen10's responsibilities.
Unit Plan Requirements: · Objectives (12-15)—see sample 2, letters · Introduction (1 page) · Timeline (2 or 3 weeks max—see chart on pg. 7 of sample 1; More detailed example beginning on pg. 6 of sample 2) · Cover page: Unit title, author names, date, (picture optional) · 5 lessons (3 objectives each)—assume we have 50 minute class periods, one lesson plan can last more than 1 day.
o Activities on vocabulary
o Readability analysis (math)
o Incorporate something on safety
o Include assessment
o Include worksheets/handouts after lesson
o Make sure to include ESOL stuff · Bibliographical information of reading materials find a lot of trade books, magazines, blogs, etc. NOT REQUIRED TO ANNOTATEJ. What is included in unit. · See page 25 of sample 1: do that. · Summary Activity Matrix—see samples · Relationship between Assessment Methods and Unit Objectives chart (preferred to including assessment in lesson plans)—see page 28 of sample 2;
Formatting: In binder with tabs. May be smart to use strategies he had us teach in class. Brownie points? He wants to see strategies from FS and BRB book in our unit. **
